One of the defining characteristics of Alma Church of God has always been
hospitality—a gift God has graciously cultivated within our church family. You
see it in the fresh coffee waiting on Sunday mornings, the homemade cookies
faithfully prepared each week, and the warm smiles that welcome people
through our doors. You see it in the sweet treats and care packages shared
with our college students, in the conversations that continue long after
worship has ended, and in the simple moments when someone who walked
through our doors feeling alone leaves knowing they belong.
Hospitality isn’t just something we do—it is one of the ways we show people Jesus.
The Fellowship Commons will transform existing space within our church into a warm,
welcoming gathering place where hospitality, fellowship, and meaningful
conversations can flourish. By repurposing the space God has already
entrusted to us, we can better support the ministry He has called us to.
This isn’t a new idea. It’s the next faithful step toward a vision our church has
carried for more than two decades. Buildings are never the mission, but they
can become tools that help us live out the mission more faithfully.
