The Filling Station

Our Sunday night gathering for 7th through 12th grade students. Students worship together with a live praise band, talk about important topics, and of course, eat, hang out and have fun! Most Sunday nights students form breakout groups where they discuss the evening’s topic with others in their same grade. Sunday Nights at the Filling Station meets most Sunday nights during the school year from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

The student leadership team wants to come alongside you as you invite and introduce your friends to the Filling Station! Maybe even surprise them by picking them up (what we call “kidnapping”). Two Things You Need to Do:

Please see your friends Tim DeJong, Andrew Benn, Melissa Rivera, or Tori Humphrey (aka Search and Rescue Team) if there is someone you want us to go get on a Sunday night!
Leave a name and, if possible, an address in the Suggestion Box at the Filling Station of students you would like to see for the first time or return to the Filling Station.

YOUTH SCHEDULE
May 13	No Youth – It’s Mother’s Day!
May 20	High School Graduate Recognition Sunday 8:30am and 11:00am. (Please note the change of date!) All graduating high school students please submit a picture, open house info, and a brief description of your future plans to the church office by Sunday, May 6.
May 20	End of the year Party Come celebrate an amazing year while having a blast! Play a board game, join a large group activity, bring a friend! For all incoming 7th-12th grade + current graduates!
May 25	Youth Car Wash (11am-3pm) His Place Parking Lot Bring Sunscreen and lots of energy to serve our community, while raising funds for your youth trips this summer and next school year! You might get a little wet. Lunch provided. Please sign-up if you plan on attending!
May 26-27:	Highland Festival Concessions Fundraiser See Dean Humphrey if you are interested in this fundraiser.
May 27	No Youth – Memorial Weekend
June 3	Beginning June 3: Ultimate Frisbee begins on Sunday Nights at 6:00pm Continue to connect and have fun through the summer! Every Sunday night from June through August, we will meet at 6pm for Ultimate Frisbee. Meet @ the Alma College Chapel Lawn. If no one is there, our backup location is the park behind St. Mary’s church.
June 17	Free Refills – Cookout at The Filling Station from 5:30pm – 8pm Come hang out, reconnect, and enjoy some free time with friends at the Filling Station.
June 18-21	His Place Summer Kids Camp w/ Youth Group from Bethel Church (Chicago) 8am-3pm, lunch provided 1) Be sure to sign up at the Filling Station or youth board at the church to be contacted by Pastor Ben. 2) Take a letter from Haley (youth leader from Bethel church) and talk to your parents about potentially hosting a student* *Not required to be a host family in order to participate in leading the camp – we do encourage it though because you will be serving together the whole week
