Special Called Information and Business Meetings Regarding the Potential Purchase of Giles Property

The Church Council is very pleased to announce a special called business meeting on Sunday, August 30th, following the 9:00 am worship service. The purpose of this business meeting will be to vote to approve or reject a purchase agreement for the purchase of Giles Tire Store. The church council is unanimously recommending this purchase to the congregation.

The Church Council would like to invite any persons with questions or comments about this potential purchase to join them at their next scheduled meeting on Thursday evening, August 20, at 7:00 pm in room 106. The opening segment of that meeting will be devoted to discussion about this important decision.

Again, the dates are:

  • Discussion during the opening segment of the Church Council meeting: Thursday, August 20,
    7:00 pm in the basement, room 106.
  • Business Meeting (vote only, no discussion): Sunday, August 30, after the 9:00 am worship service.

We strongly encourage all members of the congregation to be present to vote on August 30. However, if you are unable to attend, absentee ballots are available at the welcome center and in the church office.

The church council requests your prayers for clarity and guidance in this decision process.
