Another Way to Care

ChristCare

Our congregation has been a Stephen Series congregation for five years. Stephen Ministry has helped us to extend Christian care to many in our congregation and community who have experienced sorrow and pain. Last year, we joined Stephen Ministries in another adventure, a new way to care for our members and friends: the ChristCare Series system of small group ministry.

ChristCare Group ministry is important in the life of our congregation. This ministry brings people together in groups of five to twelve and helps them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another. In ChristCare Groups members provide simple, nurturing care to one another. They help one another meet the challenges and hurts of daily life.

Michelle Brown, a member of one of our new ChristCare groups, says that some of the benefits of being in a group include: getting to know God better, sharing his love with the group and others she comes into contact with on a daily basis, experiencing the support of the group during times of crisis and being accepted unconditionally. Michelle writes, "The ChristCare group has made a huge impact in my life and I look forward to continuing to be a part of it."

ChristCare

The next phase in the growth of this ministry is to find those God is calling to serve as new ChristCare Group Leaders. Please pray and think about whether God is calling you to serve in this way.

If you are looking for another way to care, consider this invitation to serve as a ChristCare Group Leader. For more information, contact the church office or 463-3730 or pick up a ChristCare Leader application at the welcome center.
