Children's Church and Sunday SchoolOur last Sunday for both Children's church and regular Sunday School will be next Sunday, May 31st. Summer Christian Education classes will begin on Sunday, June 7th.
La Ceiba Honduras FundraiserThe August Honduras group to La Ceiba is selling Pampered Chef as a fund-raiser. Forms are available at the Welcome Center and need to be turned in by Sunday, May 31st. Should anyone be interested in going on the trip in August, we still have a couple seats available, please contact Rachel Messer or phone 989-801-0608. June 7 - Sierra Leone MeetingAll persons interested in participating in the missions trip to Sierra Leone, West Africa October 29 - November 12 are asked to attend a meeting on Sunday, June 7th at 5:00 pm at the church . This is open to all medical and non-medical persons. June 11 - Summer ServeA Youth Alliance Event Thursday, June 11th from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. Junior and Senior High students from First Church of God will join with other area youth ministries for a day of service in Gratiot county. All groups will meet and depart from the YFC center where work projects will be assigned and students will gather at the end of the day to share experiences. This event is free and lunch will be provided. All participating students will also receive a T-shirt. Please contact Pastor Ben for a sign-up form as you must register by next Sunday, May 24th to be placed on a Summer Serve team. Aerobics Child Care Worker NeededHis Place is seeking two childcare workers to begin in September for all aerobics classes. This is a paid position with approximately 10 hours of childcare. Please contact Chris or Connie at His Place or by phone at 463-1676. His Place Summer CampsDetails of all the fun scheduled to take place this summer - NOW ONLINE! Warner CampsCamp dates and registration sheets are on the bulletin board downstairs by the 2's and 3's room. Scholarships in the amount of $50 are also available to everyone who is a member and completes a scholarship form. Baby Bottle BoomerangWe have a wonderful opportunity to support Pregnancy Services of Gratiot County and their many life affirming programs. Please stop by the Welcome Center and pick up a baby bottle that you can take and fill with change, bills or a check. Please also use these bottles in your home as a reminder to pray for their ministry as you fill it with your loose change. We ask for the bottles to be returned to church Father's Day weekend, Sunday, June 21st.
