Over the next five Sundays, Pastor Steve will be speaking about the theme for our congregation for the year 2009: "Come Together ... Love is Why." "Come Together ..." addresses God's call to us to be a physical and tangible expression of the unity God intends for all creation.

January 17 - Middle Ground Fiesta Game Night

Fiesta Game Night at the home of Glenn and Angie Armstrong, 308 S. Morton Street in St. Johns on Saturday, January 17th at 6:00 pm. There will be games to play including the new Wii. Please bring your favorite game too! Everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass. Contact Angie or phone (989) 560-7175 to see what is needed. Childcare will not be provided for this event.

Family News

Keith and Lora Clark have an addition to their family. A Great Grand-daughter, Savannah Noel Clark was born on Christmas Eve at 5:05 pm, weighing 6 lbs, 10 oz's and 19 inches long.

Childcare Coordinator

Alma Tigers Special Olympics

The Alma college is asking for donations of baked goods for the Alma Tigers Special Olympics. Should you be willing to provide a baked good treat, whether it is cookies, pie, cake or bread, please contact the church office or phone 463-3730. Donations are needed by Saturday, January 17th and can be dropped off to the church by Friday, January 16th before 4:00 pm

FOR THE YOUTH...

January 23rd and February 6th We will be opening up the Filling Station for 5th Quarter activities on January 23rd and February 6th. We want to invite all students from 7th-12th grade to come hang out, play games, and make new friends. Plan on asking your ride home to pick you up at 9pm. Thank you!

February 20-22 - Senior High Winter Retreat The Senior High Winter Retreat will be held at Warner Camp. The deposit is $25 and is due by January 18. Total cost of the retreat is $75.

February 27 - March 1 - Junior High Winter Retreat The Junior High Winter Retreat will be held at SpringHill Camp. The deposit is $50 and is due by January 25. Total cost of the retreat is $125.
