Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 12th services at 9:00 am & 11:00 am. Celebrate the vibrant signs of spring and the transformational power of Easter at Alma First Church of God. Choose from two identical services with the church's Worship Choir, Dancers, Orchestra and an inspiring message from Pastor Steve Wimmer entitled "Don't Be Afraid, He is Risen." Enjoy complimentary coffee, fresh fruit, and pastries between services. Nursery and Children's Church provided in both services.

Stop by the church office or the Welcome Center to pick up a few postcards to use to invite your friends and neighbors!

Teamagers

Will meet Sunday, April 5th at His Place immediately following our 11:00AM Worship Service. Our program will be presented by Dr. Seals as he shares information about his trip to Africa. All who are age 55 and older are WELCOME. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Beverages will be provided.


Holy Week Services

In addition to Easter Sunday, please note the following services:
Maundy Thursday: Thursday, April 9th @ 7:00 pm
Good Friday: Friday, April 10th @ 12:15 pm at Masonic Pathways Chapel

Easter Eggs

There is still time to order your chocolate covered Easter Eggs ... Orders will be taken until this Friday, April 3rd. The handmade eggs are a 1/4 pound of peanut butter dipped in milk chocolate and are packaged in a beautiful, pastel Easter box complete with green Easter grass. The cost is $2.50 per box. Eggs will be available for pick up beginning this Sunday, April 5th and continue through next week. This project will benefit the Worship Choir's outreach to Chicago as well as our church's other missions projects this year. Sign up at the Welcome Center or see a member of the choir.


Bowlers Welcome!

We are participating in a bowl-a-thon for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday April 18 @ 9:00AM in Ithaca at Town & Country. Four people per team - ALL are welcome - teams can be couples, families, teens, singles, how ever you want to make it. This is a morning of fun to benefit Habitat. Contact Nate Caszatt at 763-2893 for questions, pledge sheets or more info.


Easter Brunch

Baked goods and fresh fruit are needed for the Easter Brunch that will be served after the first service Easter Sunday. Should you wish to bring in some yummy baked goods or fresh fruit a sign up sheet is available at the Welcome Center. Please contact Trish Wilson at 463-3671 if you have any questions.


ChristCare Ministry

ChristCare Ministry

"Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them." You are invited to meet Christ in a ChristCare Group. Complete an interest card at the Welcome Center or contact Beverly or by phone at 463-3730.

ChristCare Group Meeting Schedules:

  • Sundays at 5:00 PM at the COG campgrounds
  • Sundays at 5:30 PM at the church in the counseling room
  • Mondays at 7:00 PM in Ithaca
  • Men of Virtue - Mondays at 6:30 PM at the church
  • Ladies ChristCare Group - Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at the church

Missing

Joyce Lottridge (Dawn Sherlock's mother), is missing a silver tray with a floral design. The tray was left behind after Dawn's funeral service and has sentimental value to Joyce. If you accidentally took this tray home or used it to take leftovers home please call the church office to make arrangements to return it to Joyce. Thank you!


Lost and Found

Are you missing anything? Check the lost and found located at the bottom of the steps at the West entrance. Missing dishes? Please check the kitchen in the church basement and at His Place. Items left at the end of April will be donated to the Honduras Garage Sale.


Honduras Garage Sale
