Our condolences to the Shook family on the passing of Wendie Shook on July 6th, 2010 after a courageous one and a half year battle with cancer. Wendie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Because of the support of so many in this church family in the last four months I want to give you an update on my house situation. As of last week the insurance company has released the house. Demolition will begin on Monday, July 26, 2010. A new house is forthcoming soon. Praise God! It has been a hard four months and I have learned so much. My family, friends, and this church family are amazing. I am blessed! God is faithful. Thank you. Please keep me and my family in your prayers as we have many decisions yet to make.

I feel so blessed by all our brothers and sisters in the church family (and others) who supported and encouraged us in our time of need. Thank you for your visits, telephone calls, cards, flowers, meals, gifts, and most of all your prayers, I would like to extend a special 'thank you' to all the women who continued to give of their time and talents to stay with Eunice through out her illness. Your visits were a blessing to both of us. You demonstrated Christ’s love, not only to us but to our family and friends. Thank you so much. Thank you Pastor Steve, Pastor Ron, Margaret Metcalf, worship team and choir for such a wonderful celebration service for Eunice (I envisioned her hands in the air, worshiping as the choir sang) You were awesome. Thank you to all who prepared the luncheon and served at His Place, the food was delicious. Please know that we love you and are forever grateful for the love you show us and your help. God Bless you all!
