Stephen Ministry is a Christ-centered, one-on-one care giving ministry that comes alongside persons who are experiencing loss or other types of distressing issues that face us in life. It is a highly confidential ministry that seeks to provide a listening ear and demonstrate the love, compassion and acceptance of Christ.

Members of our congregation who receive 50 hours of special training to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community who are experiencing life difficulties. Stephen Ministers:

• Listen
• Explore feelings
• Pray
• Share Christ’s love
• Maintain confidentiality
• Attend to the care giving process and leave the results to God.

Care Receivers

Persons who are struggling emotionally and need or desire a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministers care for people who are:

• Grieving
• In a crisis
• In need of long-term care
• Dying
• Hospitalized
• Divorcing
• Experiencing losses as they age
• Going through a crisis of childbirth
• The family and friends of people in crisis
